Iwona Kozak, President
Ms. Kozak has 15 years of experience as a director and vice-president of a Canadian public company operating in the telecom consumer service. Since 2003 Ms. Kozak has headed up a private entity that opened the first corporate-oriented yoga studio in Vancouver, taught holistic lifestyle and diet, and delivered workshops in Canada, Poland, and Costa Rica. Since 2008 she has been publishing a monthly column on a holistic lifestyle, yoga, diet for Zwierciadlo (www.zwierciadlo.pl), the largest women magazine in Poland. She is a founder of an on-line publication, www.transformacja.net. Iwona has had a life-long interest in understanding our interface with nature, and an increasing passion for holistically healthy living.
Max Tomaszewski, CEO
Mr. Tomaszewski, B.Sc. M.Sc. (IA), is the founder and owner of a land development company, Amadon Group, established in 1983 which engages in the development and re-development, from concept to completion, of commercial (office and retail), residential, industrial and heritage real estate, with strategic partners and for its own account. Projects are based on the Group’s Holistic Development™ manifesto and are guided by values and principles that ensure the highest environmental standards, the optimal community benefit, while delivering maximum returns. Amadon Group (www.amadongroup.com) successfully developed a portfolio of over 40 projects in Canada with total value in excess of $500 million. Recent projects include “The Wade” in Victoria, BC (www.thewade.ca). This project parallels the company’s Forward Living ethos, which imbues wellness, sustainability, and technology into the home. Mr. Tomaszewski has been a life-long entrepreneur, having started or co-founded businesses in several sectors, for example sporting event marketing, internet application service provision, and satellite communications. Although he opted for a business career while in medical school, he has maintained a great interest in health matters, which has now culminated in the co-founding of a health/lifestyle enterprise.
Tom Locke, EVP / CFO
Born and raised in Toronto, Tom has a Master’s Degree in Mathematics and is an MBA graduate of York University. Tom moved to Vancouver in 1984 and began working in the entertainment industry. His timing was impeccable in that he had the opportunity to work alongside like-minded individuals who played an integral role in creating a billion dollar industry for British Columbia. In the mid 90’s Tom started his career/business coaching practice, which was focused on human capital development, strategic planning and executive training. He was also the creator and instructor of a course on professional skill development for the University of British Columbia’s award-winning “Entertainment Administration” certificate program. Over the past 20 years, he has studied and consulted on the impact of digital technology in business. In addition to speaking at various functions and conferences, Tom has sat on a number of provincial, national and international boards covering a wide range of interests. Throughout his career he has supported the concept of community investment and has given significant time to charitable and not-for-profit endeavours.
