  • People – Banyan has one of the best Yukon focused teams in the business.  Collectively, the team has decades of Yukon experience in geology, mine development, mine building, First Nations negotiations, permitting and government relations.
  • Project – Hyland is one of the more advanced stage exploration projects in Yukon, significantly bringing down exploration risk. Yet Hyland remains one of the most under explored exploration project in Yukon.
  • Capital Structure – Banyan has a very tight and clean capital structure. There are approximately 24.4 million shares outstanding. The board and management hold approximately 8.4 million; other Insiders an additional 2.2 million and close associates a further 4 million shares.  With 4 phone calls the Company can touch base with 14.6 million shares.  Management is very aligned with shareholders.
  • Cost control – Until Banyan grows in size the Company has a low G&A burn rate of approximately $10,000 / month while being a publicly listed company. Importantly the money raised goes into the ground to generate shareholder value.

Mark Ayranto, Executive Chairman – Mr. Ayranto has 18 years operations and project development experience including 8 years in the Yukon.  He is an Executive Vice President for Victoria Gold, Chair of the Yukon Mineral Advisory Board to the Minister of Energy Mines and Resources, past president of the Yukon Chamber of Mines, former Vice President for StrataGold Exploration, and has extensive Yukon experience in First Nations relations, permitting, project management, mine development and acquisitions.

Paul Gray, Vice President Exploration – Mr. Gray holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from Dalhousie University and is a member in good standing with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia. Mr. Gray has worked extensively as an exploration geologist in the Mineral Exploration Industry in Canada, the United States, Asia and Central and South America for the past 17 years, concentrating on precious metals, base metals and uranium exploration and development. Mr. Gray has been working in the Yukon and North West Territories with advanced gold exploration projects since 2004.  Paul has served as a board member of several exploration companies.

David Rutt, CFO – Mr. Rutt has been a management consultant since September 2006 with a focus on senior management financial roles in private and public companies.  During this time he has brought four companies public onto the Venture Exchange while holding the positions of President and/or Chief Financial Officer.  In addition to his roles with Banyan, Mr. Rutt is Chief Financial Officer of Stratus Aeronautics a private company developing unmanned aerial vehicles.  Between October 2002 and March 2010, Mr. Rutt was the Secretary-Treasurer of Landis Energy.  Between April 2009 and March 2010 he was the Chief Financial Officer of Landis Energy until it was sold. David is a Certified Management Accountant in Alberta and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Windsor.

Richmond Graham, Director – Mr. Graham is the President and CEO of the Regina Airport Authority.  He was a founding director and past President & CEO of Banyan Gold Corp from June 2010 to the end of June 2014.  He sat on the Board of Directors of Moss Lake Gold Mines until it was sold to Wesdome Gold Mines in Spring 2014.  Richmond was also Vice President, Corporate Development & Operations of Landis Energy from 2008-2010 where he positioned it for sale to AltaGas in 2010.  From 2010-2013 he was Vice President, Engineering & Operations with AltaGas (TSX:ALA).  He also sits on the Board of Directors of the Saskatchewan Science Centre. Richmond is a Professional Engineer and holds a Diploma of Technology, Mechanical from SIAST, a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Lakehead University and an MBA from Royal Roads University.  Mr. Graham has over 25 years experience identifying business opportunities and developing major projects.  Richmond has extensive experience with First Nations, community stakeholder and government relations.

Jay Collins, Director – Mr. Collins is President of Merit Consultants International Inc., a project and construction management company to the mining industry.  Mr. Collins sits on the Board of Directors for Nevada Copper Corp. since September 2012.  He served on the Board of Directors for Selwyn Resources from September to April 2013.

Tara Christie, Director – Ms. Christie has been President of privately owned Gimlex Gold Mines Ltd., one the Yukon’s largest placer mining operations, since 2006 and has been a member of the Board of Directors of Constantine Metal Resources Ltd since July 2006. Ms. Christie is also a board member of PDAC and a member of the Yukon Environmental and Socio-Economic Assessment Board.

Rob Carne – Advisory Board – Rob Carne is a Professional Geologist with more than 35 years of experience in the Yukon and has been responsible for a vast number of discoveries, including Banyan’s Hyland Gold Project when he discovered and delineated the initial non-compliant gold resource at the Main Zone in the late 1980’s.  Mr. Carne was a principal with Archer, Cathro & Associates (1981) Limited from 1981 to 2002. He is currently the President and Director for ATAC Resources and co-recipient of the H.H. “Spud” Huestis Award for Excellence in Prospecting and Mineral Exploration for the discovery of Carlin style mineralization at ATAC’s Rackla Gold project. Additionally Rob has authored or co-authored a number of technical papers on Yukon mineral deposits. He has served as a director and officer of numerous public companies on the TSX Venture Exchange since the mid-1980’s.
